Dear Parents and students, The annual Chinese Storytelling Contest Registration is open! Storytelling competition has been a school tradition over the years, the goal is to provide students with an opportunity to present the Chinese they learned, cultivate students' interest in learning Chinese and Chinese culture, and improve their Chinese speaking. Competition time: Sunday, October 30, 2022 1:00PM – 4:00PM Who can participate: CSL, Kindergarten, 1st to 5th-grade Chinese Class students. Competition form: individual or group (more than 2 people count as a group) The time of each story is limited to 3 minutes. Story theme: The content is not limited, it can be poetry, short stories, riddles, idiom stories, fables, nursery rhyme, etc., or it can be the content learned in the class. Special attire and props can be used during the competition. How to register: Contestants should register with the teacher of the class. The registration contents include the student's name (in Chinese and English) and the story name. The registration deadline: October 16, 2022, 11:59 PM. Before the competition, you can submit a PPT as the stage background, including the name of the contestant, class, and class teacher in the PPT. 各位家长， 老师和同学们， 一年一度的中文学校中文讲故事比赛开始报名啦！ 🎤讲故事比赛是学校历年来的传统，主要是提供给孩子们一个展示中文的机会和舞台。 比赛宗旨: 培养和激发广大学生学习汉语和中国文化的兴趣, 提高中文口语表达能力。 🕰比赛时间: 2022 年10 月30日星期天 1:00PM – 4:00PM 👩🎓👨🎓参赛学生：CSL, 中文学前班，一年级到五年级班级的学生。 比赛形式：个人或集体（2人以上算集体） 每个故事演讲时间限制在3分钟以内。 故事题材: 内容不限, 可以是诗歌，成语故事,历史故事,谜语故事,古代诗歌故事,以及童谣故事等等，也可以是课堂上学的内容。 比赛时可以特殊着装及使用道具。 🙋如何报名：参赛者向本班老师报名，报名内容包括：学生名（中英文）及故事名。 ⏰报名截止时间为:2022 年10 月16 日 11:59PM。 比赛之前，可以上交一张PPT 的背景图案，上面注明参赛选手名字，班级及班级老师名。 如有任何问题，请联系雷奕副校长 school.events@cccalbany.org 📧 中文学校行政团队 |

中文学校遵循 North Colonie school district 关于 2022-2023 学年 COVID 疫情防控措施。 口罩: North Colonie School District COVID guidance: Chinese School follows North Colonie Central School District guidance related to COVID illness protocols for the 2022-2023 school year. If the student tests positive on a rapid COVID test, they must remain out of school for five (5) calendar days. Day one is the first full day after symptoms onset. Testing is not required to return after the five (5) day period. Symptoms must be resolving in order to return. If, after the five-day period, the symptoms are not improving or get worse, students should remain out of school and seek the guidance of a healthcare professional.
