大家好！

近期活动将按时间顺序排列向大家汇报：  

1.     10/20 中文学校正常上课

-      中文学校奖学金申请开始, 请详见附件。 请仔细阅读下面的《中文学校奖学金颁发条例》，符合条件的学生请递交申请表格及相关材料交到钟烨副校长或者莫琳教务长。申请截至日期为11/17/2019。

-      2020年春晚节目和主持人甄选：6pm@华社，详见附件。

2.     10/27

-      教育讲座：孔院中国孩子的书香世界系列之一

       主讲人和题目：孙燕青 博士，家庭教育与儿童发展

       时间和地点：1-2:30pm@ 教室M110

-      Halloween Trick or Treat, 欢迎同学们穿 costume来上学，课间到餐厅来领糖。

3.     11/3 孔院杯中文故事会

        Date: November 03, 2019 (Sunday)

        Time: 1:00 – 4:00PM

        Venue: CCC building @11 Avis Dr., Latham, NY 12110

       由雷奕副校长, PTA和Youth Team组织。

4.     11/10 Veterans’ Day,  没有中文学校 NO Chinese School 

5.     11/17

-      教育讲座：孔院中国孩子的书香世界系列讲座之二：

       主讲人和题目：戴耘 教授, 天赋和才能的培养：给父母的一些建议

       时间和地点：1-2：30pm@ 教室M110

-      作文大赛交稿给各班老师，由莫琳教务长汇总。请看附件。

1.The Youth Team President, Vice-President and Secretary election will happen on Oct 6, Sunday 1:45-1:55 PM at room C106. We welcome all the members of the youth team to join this annual election event. The deadline for candidacy is this Saturday 10/5 midnight. CS News: 《侨报》第八届美国少儿中文大赛通知 10/04/2019 - 10:17am

各位老师、家长, 大家好！

现接到《侨报》第八届美国少儿中文大赛通知，本届大赛主题：我的爱好（题目）

参赛对象：在美国出生或来美五年以上8-16岁的少年儿童，分为：儿童组（8-10岁）、少儿组（11-13岁）、少年组（14-16岁）三种组别。

字数要求：儿童组300字，少儿组400字，少年组600字。简繁体不限，电脑打字、手写均可，手写适当加分。

丰厚奖品：总决赛各年龄组设一等奖1名，可以获得价值500元奖品；二等奖1名，获得价值300元奖品；三等奖1名，获价值200元奖品，以及优胜奖若干名。

 

截稿日期：2019年11月17日

学校欢迎所有适龄学生参加比赛，请有意参赛的学生家长在11月17日之前将参赛作文交给所在班级的老师，由学校统一报名参赛。超过此日期，请家长选择个人参赛。

CS Weekly: Waiver / Waiting list 10/04/2019 - 10:15am

各位同学家长好！

本周日将迎来新学期开学的第三周，

1. Waiver 免责协议due on 9/29

请家长与孩子一起仔细阅读waiver后并签字，务必于本周日9/29日交回给本班老师或家长代表，否则学生将不能在中文学校上课。本周无法来上课的学生，请下次来上课时交给本班老师。

2. 点名

经过前两周，每个班级的人数已基本确定下来，同学们和老师也渐渐熟悉起来，老师将从本周开始点名，未报名的或还没交学费的学生将不能在教室里听课。还未支付学费的家庭，请尽快到学校财务处交费！如需要帮助，请到行政桌找校务人员。

3. Waiting list 将在本周内清理完毕，如果您选报的课程还需要做出任何调整，请直接到行政桌办理。

CS Weekly: 2nd Week - Waiver \ Trial lesson 免责协议\ 试课调课 09/21/2019 - 11:15pm
各位家长, 同学们好！

上周日第一天开学，在PTA和众多家长的大力帮忙之下，买书报名引导教室都有条不紊的顺利完成。衷心感谢家长们和PTA以及行政人员的紧密合作和鼎力相帮！

1. Waiver 免责协议
今年租约里增加了惩罚性赔偿条款，中文学校需要对任何破坏赔偿1.5倍成本；如果我们违法任何条规，房东可以在五天书面通知之后取消租约。为了保证学校正常运行，学生有教室可以上课，今年将强制要求每一个家庭签署免责协议，了解清楚校规以及学生和家长的职责。本周日老师将免责协议发到每位学生手上，家长和小孩签字后，务必于三周以内9/29日之前交回给本班老师或家长代表，否则学生将不能在中文学校上课。
This year, the landlord has increased the rental and added the punitive damages clause to the lease, which is the Chinese school has to pay 1.5 times of cost for any damage incurs, and they can terminate the lease with five days written notice in the event of we breach any obligation. In order to ensure school safety, all the parents and students must sign the waiver and hand it to the room teachers by next Sunday 9/29. Otherwise, the student will not be permitted to participate in any program.

2. 试课/调课：本周日是学生最后一天试课，试完课决定报哪个班之后，请立即到学校行政桌办理登记或调课。第三周起各个班的老师会点名, 不在名单上的学生将不能在教室里听课。
This Sunday is the last time for the trial lesson. Once you choose a class, please come to Admin table to register or make a change. If your name is not on the class roster, you won’t be allowed to sit in the class from the next week.

3. 如果您还有孩子在waiting list，请务必到学校行政桌询问做出调整，下周以后学校将把waiting list 全部清除。
If your name is still on the waiting list, please come to the Admin table.  We will clear all the names on the waiting list in the next week.

4. Shaker 将在4:00准时关门，校工工作超时都需要中文学校来负担。再次强调安全第一，请大家务必在4点之前把孩子都接走，安全离开学校！
Shaker will close at 4pm. Safety is first！Your child must leave school with you before 4pm.
