11月24日，中文学校成人中文班(CSL-Adult) 成功举办了一场精彩的中国历史讲座。在学生的积极建议下，我们特别邀请了王勇老师进行开放式英文演讲，为大家详细阐述了中国7000年历史中的重要变迁。
王老师的讲座内容生动丰富，深入探讨了历史事件如何推动中国社会从以家庭和小村落为核心的结构，逐步演变为较大村镇、地区乃至国家的社会体系；社会群体的扩大如何催生了领袖、统治者和诸侯的出现；以及个人财产的增长如何引发了社会阶层的分化。
学生们在讲座结束后纷纷表示对这种形式的活动非常感兴趣。不仅因为内容新颖有趣，还因为讲座让他们更直观地理解了中国历史如何深刻影响中国文化和文字的发展与形成。这也进一步激发了他们学习中文的热情和动力。
我们很高兴地通知大家，王勇老师将于12月8日再次莅临，为学生们带来中国历史的第二部分讲座。与上次一样，此次活动也欢迎其他感兴趣的学生、老师和家长免费参加。

On November 24th, the Chinese School’s Adult Chinese Class (CSL-Adult) successfully hosted a fascinating lecture on Chinese history. Based on students’ enthusiastic suggestions, we invited Mr. Wang Yong to deliver an open-format lecture in English, providing an in-depth exploration of key transformations in China’s 7,000-year history.
Mr. Wang’s engaging and informative lecture delved into how historical events shaped the evolution of Chinese society from family- and village-centered structures to larger towns, regions, and eventually a unified national system. He also discussed how the expansion of social groups led to the emergence of leaders, rulers, and regional lords, as well as how the accumulation of personal wealth gave rise to social class distinctions.
Students expressed great interest in this type of activity, not only because the content was fresh and engaging but also because it helped them understand how Chinese history profoundly influenced the development of Chinese culture and written language. This event further inspired their enthusiasm and motivation to learn Chinese.
We are pleased to announce that Mr. Wang Yong will return on December 8th to present the second part of his lecture on Chinese history. As with the previous event, this lecture is open to all interested students, teachers, and parents free of charge.
