Dear Chinese School Parents and Students,

(1) Chinese school will conduct online teaching for the upcoming 2020-21 school year.

    Giving the current guidelines for operating schools during COVID, North Colonie School District is not entertaining any use of the facility by outside groups. Therefore, Chinese school is opting to remote learning starting this Fall.

(2)Online registration for Fall classes is scheduled to begin on July 18, please stay tuned...details will be announced soon.

(3)Details with regards to purchasing textbooks will be announced soon.

(4) The tuitions for the 2020-21 school year are reduced:

    By looking into new school year’s operating cost and making online learning more affordable to more families, Chinese School decided to reduce tuition by about 10% for 2020-2021 school year:

    ➡️Tuitions for non-CCC members are $360 for language lesson and $170 for culture lesson;

    ➡️ Tuitions for CCC members are $252 for language lesson and $119 for culture lesson.

    Don’t forget to go to www.cccalbany.org to apply/renew your CCC membership.

(5) PTA deposit refund for last school year (2019-20): 

    The school will contact families who didn’t have the opportunity to perform PTA duty last school year to arrange a refund of the PTA deposit.

(6) There will be no PTA deposit included in the tuition for the 2020-21 school year.

(7) The deadline for submission of the Chinese School Art contest:    

    The Chinese School Art Contest originally scheduled to be held in March was postponed to September 2020, and the deadline for submission is September 10, 2020. Further details will be announced soon.

（1）中文学校2020-21学年将进行网络教学。

    因受Covid-19影响，Shaker Junior High school 的校舍2020-2021学年将不能租给校外组织使用。考虑到目前形势的不确定性，学校董事会讨论后，决定今年中文学校将全年进行网课教学。

（2）预定7月18日开始2020-21学年课程网络注册登记，请大家留意学校具体通知。

（3）关于课本预订及发售，请留意学校后续通知。

（4）2020-21学年学费下调：

    学校在核算运营成本后，经讨论决定2020-2021学年的学费给出额外9折的折扣，华社会员学费的7折折扣仍保留不变。所以

    ➡️非华社会员学费为语言班$360，兴趣班$170；

    ➡️华社会员学费为语言班$252，兴趣班$119。

    请各位家长尽快登录华社网站renew会员资格。

（5）上学年（2019-20 ）PTA 押金退款：学校会联系上学年没有机会值日的家庭安排PTA押金退款。

（6）2020-21 学年学费中将不包括PTA值日押金。

    因网课期间无法实现PTA家长值日，故2020-2021学年取消PTA值日押金。

（7）中文学校绘画比赛的交稿截止日期。   

    原定于3月举办的中文学校绘画比赛，延期至2020年9月份，交稿截止日期为 2020年9月10日。具体内容请留意学校后续通知。

    纽约州长Andrew Cuomo五月一日宣布，全州的公立和私立学校都继续停课至本学年结束。因此，中文学校本学年将不返回Shaker Junior High School 实体教学。中文学校将持续在线教学到5月24日最后一天 。（请注意校历上原来安排的是5/31为最后一天，但根据疫情，现调整到5/24上课。而且5/24最后一天，只有第一二节课，没有第三节文化课）

    请注意，根据本学年教学课时要求：️

    ***最后一次中文课（第一二节课时课程）是5月24日。️

    ***最后一次文化课（第三节课时课程）是5月17日。 

（2）5️/24为了庆祝学期结束，学校将举办以下线上活动，具体时间及细节将会随后公布： ️

    ***活动2: 特邀今年高中毕业生介绍申请大学的经验交流会。

Dear teachers, parents and students, 

(1) The last day of the semester will be changed to 5️ / 24. 

    New York Governor Andrew Cuomo announced on May 1 that public and private schools across the state will remain closed for the rest of the school year.Therefore, Chinese school will not return to Shaker Junior High School for onsite teaching this school year. The Chinese school will continue to teach online until the last day May 24th. (Please note that on the school calendar, 5/31 was the last day, but according to the epidemic situation, it is now adjusted to 5/24. And on the last day of 5/24, there are only the first two classes and no third cultural class).

    ***The last Chinese class (the first and second class) is May 24th. ️

    ***The last cultural class (the third class course) is May 17th. 

(2) To celebrate the end of the semester, the school will hold the following online activities on May 24th, the specific time and details will be announced later:

    ***Online games (all students are welcome to participate). ️

    ***A seminar that High school graduates sharing their experiences of applying for colleges. 

In this unprecedented period, in order to ensure the continuity of teaching, Chinese school teaching and  activities have also been adjusted accordingly. Thank you for your continuous understanding and support.

截止日期是４月２５日。

学校收到后，将由毕业评审委员会审批是否准予毕业。

因疫情特殊时期,今年毕业证书将会先发电子版，秋季开学后学生可以到学校领取印刷好的正式文本毕业证。
