CCC Math Club 2025-2026 Registration

 

大家好！2025-26新学年的华社数学俱乐部开始报名啦！

Hello everyone! Registration for the Chinese Community Mathematics Club for the 2025-26 school year is now open!

The CCC Math Club is a CCC Chinese School program that is open to all CCC Members and their families. The CCC Chinese School provides overall support to the CCC Math Club so that it can better serve the participating families.

The purpose of the CCC Math club is to provide students with an opportunity to work on math problems together in small
groups, so they can encourage and inspire each other, as well as improve their problem-solving skills. The students will be assigned to a group based on their interests, grades, and abilities (see available groups below). The problem-solving group activities will be held in the CCC building every Saturday 6:30-8:30pm from 9/13/2025 through May 2026.

The CCC Math Club activities are free of charge to all CCC member families. However, we encourage participating families to make a one-time donation to CCC to help cover their building operation costs. Donation methods and suggested amount will be provided later. Meanwhile, the CCC Chinese School also offers a variety of math classes during the regular school year. These courses provide structured instruction that strengthens students’ foundational knowledge and prepares them for more advanced problem-solving.

The math classes and the Math Club could potentially complement each other: classroom learning builds skills and concepts, while the club setting allows students to enjoy more problem-solving group activities.

活动目的(Purpose)：

帮助对数学有兴趣的学生：

·        结识兴趣相投的朋友，给学生们提供相互鼓励、共同学习的机会

·        接触更多数学知识，开拓视野

·        提高基础运算能力和解题技巧

·        培养当众讲解及与他人交流合作的能力

 

活动内容(Activities and Grouping)：

参加活动的学生将按照年级和数学学习程度分组，每组在一至两名coach的指导下做题并一起讨论、讲解。目前预设的分组包括：（接下来也可能会按实际报名情况调整）

Problem solving practices under guidance of coaches:

·        Group 1 – Beast Academy for K & 1st Grade

·        Group 2 – Beast Academy for 2nd Grade

·        Group 3 – Beast Academy for 3rd Grade

·        Group 4 – Beast Academy for 4th & 5th Grades

·        Group 5 – Prealgebra for 4th-6th Grades

·        Group 6 – Introduction to Algebra for 5th-7th Grades

·        Group 7 – AMC 8 and MATHCOUNTS for 6th-8th Grades

活动对象及费用(Participants and Fees)：

华社统一向所有俱乐部的参加人员每年一次性收取场地维护费用$20。(CCC charges $20 per year to each member of any CCC club for building maintenance purposes.)

本俱乐部活动向全体华社会员家庭免费开放。我们会根据支出的需要组织一次向数学俱乐部的自愿捐款活动。捐款目标、用途和方式将稍后公布。(The program of CCC Math Club is free of charge to all CCC members and families. Voluntary donations to the club will be held later.)
