下面连续六周为学校老师和家长安排了一系列的讲座。

本地大学主管中文项目的系主任给大家介绍怎样取得教书资格。详情请看附件1和2.。
Catherine Snyder is the chair of the Department of Education at Clarkson University in Schenectady, New York. In that role Dr. Snyder oversees the work of the Master of Arts in Teaching program, a nationally
recognized teacher education program focused on secondary teaching in biology, chemistry, physics, geology, mathematics, technology, history, English, Chinese, French, German, Greek, Latin, Russian, and Spanish.

2.你是不是在管教孩子时面临很多挑战? 感到焦虑或者无计可施? 诚邀大家一起来学习《6A的力量》（How to Be a Hero to Your Kids）中文学校诚邀来自香港的钟青女士讲解，她曾在国内,香港,台湾等地教授过6A课。第一次（共五讲）课3月5日（周日）1-3:40PM, 在一个与你分享以爱为基础管教孩子的6A教育原则：接纳 (Acceptance)、赞赏(Appreciation)、关爱(Affection)、时间(Availability)、责任(Accountability)、和权威(Authority)。

课程包括短讲,观看录像,分组讨论等形式,一共分五堂课,每堂课2.5 小时，具体安排如下：

第一堂（3/5）: 在爱的关系中传递品格
第二堂（3/12）: 接纳
第三堂（4/2）: 赞赏与关爱
第四堂（4/9）: 时间与责任
第五堂（4/23）: 权威; 总结。

1.2017 年全美SAT中文模擬考試现在开始报名，七年级及以上的班级向本班中文老师报名。报名截至日期：2017年2月6号.详情请参看今天有关SAT专发的信件。班级老师请用附件表向王洁副校长统一报名。


2.本周日开始，中文学校有家长志愿利用空余教室，开辟一个瑜伽禅修的尝试空间，欢迎大家参加。教室号码是C208； 时间是第一课时开始。每次参加活动时，请带一张瑜伽垫和一个沙发上用的小靠垫。请愿意参加的家长把你的姓名和家庭号码电邮给我，学校帮你注册。

3.周日1PM-2:15PM在中文学校的大礼堂举行找工座谈会。招工或者找工者都欢迎参加。

4.2月5日2：30PM，在学校的大礼堂，请到SUNY和RPI教务处的两位资深专家，给家长和老师讲申请大学的注意事项。 下面是讲座的简介：

Enrollment Management at colleges and universities includes the processes and activities that influence the size, shape, and characteristics of a student body by directing institutional efforts in marketing, recruitment, admissions, pricing, and financial aid. Institutional Research is an office within higher education that plays an essential role in providing data to Enrollment Management professionals. In the seminar two Institutional Research professionals from local universities will provide a view from the institutional perspective to help prospective students better understand the admissions and financial aid processes. Details to be discussed include application timelines, how to use data to compare different institutions, where to go to find information about institutions, what college rankings really mean, and an overview of how financial aid is typically determined.

首先给全校师生和家长拜年！祝大家在新年里身体健康，鸡祥如意！

1.周日1月29号是大年初二，但中文学校照旧。 按照华人春节的习俗，

学校鼓励大家穿新衣服和具有中国特色的唐装。3-3和5-3班的老师抓住新年良机，让孩子做活动增加学习中文的兴趣。学校会把表示祝愿和好运的红包， 派发给每一位当天来学校上学的学生，祝大家新年快乐，平平安安， 万事如意！

2. Clifton Park Library 于明天大年初一下午一点举办庆新年活动。中文学校的老师和孩子们会去参加表演。 观看节目免费， 但最好去网站登记一下。附件是节目单。

3. 2月5日开始，中文学校有家长志愿利用空余教室，开辟一个瑜伽禅修的尝试空间，欢迎大家参加。教室号码是C208； 时间是第一课时开始。每次参加活动时，请带一张瑜伽垫和一个沙发上用的小靠垫。请愿意参加的家长把你的姓名和家庭号码电邮给我，学校帮你注册。
