Dear Chinese School Families,
We have a few new families joining the Chinese School in the beginning of Spring semester. Please welcome them as you see new faces. Due to the new enrollment, there have been a few adjustments in the classrooms. Please make sure your registration and enrollment is up to date in your school account. It is not allowed to switch classroom on your own without permission from school administration. A few topics that need your attentions: 2. YCT Test As many of you have known, the annual Chinese New Year celebration at Clifton Park Halfmoon Library will be held on Feb. 14th from 1PM to 3PM. The event has been organized by Vice Principal Xiaoqing Zhang and will be performed by many teachers and students from our school. Admission is free but seats must be reserved online on www.cphlibrary.org. The library is located at 475 Moe Road, Clifton Park, NY and the performance will be in the program room upstairs. See you this Sunday. Feng Chen <!--break--> |

中文学校的各位家长、老师,你们好, 这个周末是长周末,纪念马丁 路德 金的生日,是法定联邦假日,故而没有中文课。 希望大家渡过一个愉快的周末。
谢谢你的关注,下个周日见。 陈峰 Dear Chinese School Families,
This weekend is a long weekend to observe the Martin Luther King Jr. Day, a federal holiday. There is no Chinese School this Sunday. I hope everyone enjoy the long weekend. Though it is beyond “frozen”, hopefully, “the cold never bothers you any more”. Feng Chen <!--break--> |

中文学校的各位家长、老师,你们好,
Dear Chinese School Families, Happy 2015! I hope each one of you has enjoyed the holiday season and is well refreshed to start the spring semester this Sunday on January 4th. End of last year the Youth Team performed a self-organized concert for senior residents at Shaker Pointe before Christmas Eve. Please see attached report for details. The performance was well received and they were invited to visit again. In the past fall semester there were four volunteering events organized by the Youth Team, in addition to help out in a few events organized by CCC or Chinese School. Under the leadership of Ryan Guo and Jeffrey Shen, the Youth Team has grown their reach and impact beyond Chinese community and I hope they keep the momentum. While we should all be proud of their achievement, I would also like to thank all the parents who have been supporting their effort. It is your involvement that makes things happen. Look forward to seeing you on Sunday. Feng Chen <!--break--> |

中文学校的各位家长、老师,你们好, Dear Chinese School Families, This semester concluded with at least a feast of Chinese food as I walked around the café during the lunch gathering time on the last day of school. What came to my mind at that moment was that maybe next year the parents can host a thank-you lunch for the school staff, in place of a pizza lunch. The student performance was just as successful as that of previous years, in spite of the space constraints. I hope you enjoyed the show being closer the audience. I also want to thank all the parents and youth team members who have help decorate the floor and clean the room afterwards. A special thanks to Yi Sun and Shuhai Fan who oversaw the audio system during the entire performance. Our photographers, Ling Xiao and Biao Fang, captured a lot of inspirational moments during the show that can be viewed on the following link soon (https://www.flickr.com/photos/ccc_albany/sets/). Thanks to our anchors from ninth and tenth grades. Their rehearsal was disrupted by the changes of programs but The spring semester will start on Jan. 4th, the first Sunday of 2015. We have two weeks of winter break, which is a perfect opportunity to spend more time with your family. For these of you who like to read, my suggestion is to read an interesting Chinese story with your kids every day. If you have lost any personal items in school, please contact Vice Principal Xufeng Sun (xufeng.sun@gmail.com). I also want to remind you of the youth team volunteer activity, which is scheduled on Dec. 23rd 7PM at Shaker Pointe. It is a senior concert to be conducted and performed by our volunteers. The place is just a few minutes away from Chinese School. Please sign up and bring your music and love to share with the senior residents. Lastly, I want to say Thank each one of you for your continuous support this year. Wish everyone a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. Feng Chen <!--break--> |
