CCC Chinese School Summer Math Camp 8/24 – 8/28/26 Registration Open

Dear Friends and Families,

The CCC Chinese School Math Club is excited to announce our 3rd annual CCC
Summer Math Camp! This year, we welcome students from rising 3rd-8th grade. We have prepared new interactive math curriculums and hands-on STEM experiments that will guarantee a fun week for everyone.
第三届华社中文学校暑期数学/科学夏令营（8/24-8/28）开始报名啦！本活动面对即将进入3-8年级的学生。在前两年的基础上，我们今年准备了新的、更有趣的数学互动学习内容和学生可以亲自动手做的科学实验。在开发兴趣、学习新知的同时，必将乐趣满满！

The number of participants will be capped at 40 students max. Registration is first come first served. Students registered after the participant limit has been reached will be put on a waitlist.

Groups and Study Contents:
Group 1: AoPS Beast Academy Levels 3-4 and Math Kangaroo
This group’s contents are designed for rising 3 rd or 4 th grade students. The AoPS Beast Academy Level 3 and Level 4 materials will be used. We’ll focus more on inspiring and developing logical thinking of the students. Real problems from Math Kangaroo will also be used to introduce a competitive and collaborative environment and more fun activities that can be done individually or in teams.
本组内容面向即将升入3年级或4年级的学生。我们将使用AoPS Beast Academy Level 3 and Level 4的一部分内容，引导学生参与互动式解题活动。根据暑期活动时间上的特点，我们在内容方面不追求涵盖更多的基础知识点，而是将重点培养和强化学生逻辑思维的能力。同时，我们还会使用Math Kangaroo的内容来组织趣味竞赛，培养学生独立完成任务以及与他人合作的能力。

Group 2: AoPS Beast Academy Levels 4-5 and Math Kangaroo
This group’s contents are designed for rising 4 th or 5 th grade students. The AoPS Beast Academy Level 4 and Level 5 materials will be used. We’ll focus more on inspiring and developing logical thinking of the students. Real problems from Math Kangaroo will also be used to introduce a competitive and collaborative environment and more fun activities that can be done individually or in teams.

Group 3: AoPS Prealgebra with MOEM & AMC8
This group’s contents are designed for rising 5 th – 7 th grade students who have already explored Prealgebra at CCC Chinese School, CCC Chinese School Math Club, or from
other sources. For families that have not used the AoPS curriculum, Prealgebra is the rough equivalent of 7 th grade math in school. AoPS Alcumus will be used to help students review the concepts and methods, and to apply them in problem solving. Competition problems from MOEM and AMC8 will also be used for in-group competitions that can be done individually or in teams.
本组内容面向即将升入5-7年级，已经接触过AoPS Prealgebra内容的学生（大致对应于学校7年级数学）。我们将使用AoPS的Alcumus题库，引导学生参与互动式解题活动的同时，帮助学生梳理Prealgebra中的基本概念和方法。我们还会使用MOEM和AMC8竞赛真题中较基础的部分来开展组内趣味竞赛，培养学生独立完成任务以及与他人合作的能力。

Group 4: AoPS Introduction to Algebra with AMC8 and Mathcounts
This group’s contents are designed for rising 6 th – 8 th grade students who have already explored Introduction to Algebra at CCC Chinese School, CCC Chinese School MathClub, or from other sources. For families that have not used the AoPS curriculum, Introduction to Algebra is the rough equivalent of 9 th grade math in school. AoPS Alcumus will be used to help students review the concepts and methods, and to apply them in problem solving. Competition problems from AMC8 and Mathcounts will also be used for in-group competitions that can be done individually or in teams.

本组内容面向即将升入6-8年级，已经接触过AoPS Introduction to Algebra内容的学生（大致对应于学校9年级数学）。我们将使用AoPS的Alcumus题库，引导学生参与互动式解题活动的同时，帮助学生梳理Introduction to Algebra中的基本概念和方法。我们还会使用AMC8真题中较高阶的部分以及Mathcounts真题来开展组内趣味竞赛，培养学生独立完成任务以及与他人合作的能力。

Fees:
$300/student registration fee for the entire week (To cover lunch, materials and building
costs).

The Chinese Community Center (11 Avis Drive, Latham, NY)

Monday 8/24 through Friday 8/28
8:30 AM to 3:30 PM Every Day

8:15-8:30 AM Students check in
8:30-9:30 AM Math Session 1
9:30-9:45 AM Break
9:45-10:45 AM Math Session 2
10:45-11:00 AM Break
11:00 AM-12:00 PM Math Session 3
12:00-1:00 PM Lunch
1:00-3:30 PM Hands-on STEM activities
3:30-3:45 PM Students check out and pick up

Food:
Simple lunches and water will be provided to students. However, for students with food allergies or dietary restrictions, they should bring their own lunches.

Lunches may include pizza, subs/sandwiches/wraps, Chinese food, fruits, chips, and cookies. Please fill out food allergy and restriction information in the Registration Form and contact us at mathclub@cccalbany.org with any questions.

Staff:
All groups will be guided by volunteer coaches from the CCC Chinese School Math Club and student teachers from the CCC Chinese School Math Program.
