【Sport】Youth Basketball 少年篮球班 9岁及以上 (Age 9 & up)

中文学校少年篮球班自2018年起启动，面向9岁及以上男孩女孩开放。过去，年龄更小的孩子也参与其中，并获得了极佳的体验！

对于年轻学员，我们专注于教授正确的技术和以下技能的基础知识：

• 运球和控球
• 跳投
• 三威胁站位和旋转
• 探步
• 基本掩护和切入
• 防守
• 篮板球
• 基本低位移动

我们注重通过训练和对抗赛打下坚实的基础，注重公平竞争、体育精神，以及最重要的，享受乐趣！

招收学生及要求：9岁及以上。9岁以下需要学校及教练评估，如果有一定基础可以接收但家长必须全程陪同。其他学生原则上12岁以下也需家长陪同。

CJ Hoffman

CJ 是 Guilderland 高中 2027届的学生，拥有超过五年的篮球经验。除了效力于多个AAU（业余体育联盟）篮球队及 Guilderland 高中校队（Varsity）外，他还通过“州府YMCA技能与训练项目”（Capital District YMCA Skills & Drills Program）积累了超过一年的篮球执教经验。在篮球运动之外，该同学还在YMCA的儿童保育部门工作了两年多，担任辅导员和活动助理；同时，他积极参与国家荣誉学会（National Honor Society）和Tri-M音乐荣誉学会（Tri-M Music Honor Society）的活动，并且过去四年里一直代表 Guilderland 高中参加田径比赛（Varsity Level）。

The Chinese School Youth Basketball program has been running since 2018 and is open to boys and girls aged 9 and older. In the past, younger children have also participated and had a great time!

For young athletes, we focus on teaching proper techniques and the fundamentals of the following skills:

• Layups
• Shooting
• Free Throws
• Passing
• Dribbling and Ball Handling
• Jump Stops
• Triple Threat Position and Pivoting
• Jab Steps
• Basic Screening and Cutting
• Defense
• Rebounding
• Basic Post Moves

Our emphasis is on building a strong foundation through drills and scrimmages, with a focus on fair play, sportsmanship, and, most importantly, having FUN!

Student enrollment and requirements: Age 9 and above. Those under 9 need evaluation by the school and coach; if they have some good foundation, they can be accepted but parents must accompany them at all times. For other students, in principle, those under 12 also need parental accompaniment.

CJ Hoffman

CJ is a student in the Class of 2027 at Guilderland High School with over five years of basketball experience. In addition to playing for various AAU teams and the Guilderland High School varsity team, he has gained over a year of coaching experience through the Capital District YMCA Skills & Drills Program. Beyond basketball, he has worked for more than two years in the YMCA’s childcare department as a counselor and activity assistant; he is also an active member of the National Honor Society and the Tri-M Music Honor Society, and has competed in track and field at the varsity level for Guilderland High School over the past four years.
