Chinese School International Chess Level 2 class:


All non-beginner chess players are welcome to the Chess 2 class, no matter your age and skill level. This more advanced class will start with tactics and progress up through opening and endgame theory.
Teaching methods in Chess 2:
  • Tailored to the individual student. One student liked to design new types of pieces (creating a “chess variant”). Some students prefer to just play chess against each other. Some students want to play against the teacher. Some students like to play the computer.
  • Self-guided (by the student) wherever possible
  • Using computers (chess engines) for checking on positions and moves.
  • Handling differing skill levels. Example: more advanced students teaching other students.

  Developing a personal opening repertoire
  Basic endgames and principles
  Pawn structures
  Chess Tournaments
