马立平中文五六年级的教学目标是从“会读会写”过渡到“能理解、会表达、有文化意识”。学生从基础语言学习过渡到综合运用阶段，重点为独立阅读较长文章、规范写作完整段落以及用中文清晰表达想法的能力，同时逐步提升词汇量、语法运用和文化理解，实现从“学语言”到“用语言”的转变。
