中文学校一周简讯 School Weekly (5/5)

各位家长和老师，你们好！

陈峰校长此时此刻仍在大洋彼岸，沐浴在暖春的明媚阳光之中，再次委托我向大家通报中文学校最后三周的活动安排：

(1）星期天由于学校开董事会，原定的大学申请经验交流会取消。如果您有什么问题， 请在第三节课之前到学校行政桌询问。

(2）年刊预定： 本学年年刊每本售价$5, 需要订购的家长，请在5月8日之前向本班家长代表订购，各班家长代表将本班级的预定数额和付款统一交给学校家长会，由徐健负责汇总。徐健联系方式：电话：961-1531, 邮箱：jxuonline@gmail.com.

(3）5/22聚餐: 由于人多桌少， 你们班级如果要聚餐， 请尽快通知家长会主席徐健。

(4）数学班考试选拔：5月15日下午第三节课，我们将分年级举行下学年数学班考试选拔。现在已经在上课的同学也要参加考试。参加考试的家长请用下面的连接报名

    考试将在以下教室举行:
    二年级和三年级：C104 教室
    四年级：C101 教室
    五年级：C102 教室
    六年级：C103 教室
    七年级和八年级：C105 教室

(5）新课介绍：学校明年拟增设几门新课，包括篮球，高级绘画，国际象棋和今日中国。开课的老师于5月22日上午十点半在礼堂向大家介绍课程内容。

(6)绘画展览：今年的绘画主题是夏天。大家抽空来看看孩子们眼中的夏天。

(7)请还未在中文学校值日的家长们积极参与值日登记。这周日及余下的几周还缺值日人员。以下是登记办法。

    1. 使用家庭Primary用户(一般是第一个注册用户) 登录 http://dreamschool.com/albany/
    2. 点击 “Signup Duty”
    3. 选择 “Available signup” （每一个 Signup 需要 2-4 个值日家长）然后确认。

Dear Parents and Teachers,
Happy mother’s day!

(1) On this coming Sunday, we will have a school council meeting from 2:50PM to 3:40PM. If you have any questions or need help from school, please stop by the administration table before 2:40PM. The College Application Seminar is cancelled due to schedule conflict.

(2) School yearbook head count is due on May 8th. Please give your class order to PTA Chair Jian Xu. Mr Xu can be reached at jxuonline@gmail.com.  The cost of yearbook is 5 dollars.

(3) Pot Luck on 5/22: please give your class head count to PTA Chair Jian Xu at jxuonline@gmail.com

(4) Math entrance test will be held on May 15th, during the third session.  All students, including those who are currently enrolled in math class, need to be retested.   Please register the test using the following link:

    Test will be held in the following classrooms:
        -2nd and 3rd grade: classroom C104
        -4th grade: classroom C101
        -5th grade: classroom C102
        -6th grade: classroom C103
        -7th and 8th grade: classroom C105

(5) Next year, the school will offer four new courses, including Basketball, Advanced Drawing, Chess and China Today. Teachers who are offering new courses will present course syllabus and answer questions in school auditorium at 10:30AM, May 22th. 

(6) The drawings by our talented students have been on display since last week. This year most of the art works reflect the color and spirit of summer through the eyes and hands of our children. Stop by the cafeteria while you are at school and enjoy a different view of summer.

(7) We still need PTA on duty for the coming 3 Sundays.  Please register only by following the steps below:

    1. Login at http://dreamschool.com/albany/ home page.
    2. Click “Signup Duty"
    3. Select “Available signup” and confirm. (Every signup need 2-4 parents)
