中文学校每周简讯 - 1月9日

中文学校的各位家长、老师，你们好，

新年过后的第一次课很顺利。虽然过了一个长假期，但是我们的好习惯没有丢掉。学校教室总体情况很好，谢谢大家的合作和努力。我注意到有一个班级为了保持教室原样，在黑板上标记了各个桌椅的位置，是个很好的想法。另外，我要提醒大家，学校内外都是禁烟区。吸烟会被罚款。请大家遵守规定。

本学期第一次董事会按计划将于本周末第三节课期间在C206教室召开，主要是讨论本学年的财政预算执行情况以及校务简报。如果你有问题，请会前或会后到C206教室找校务人员。

谭医生在2014年底给学校捐助了1000美元。我代表学校向谭医生及其家人致以最诚挚的谢意，感谢他们多年来对学校一贯无私的支持和赞助。正是像谭医生这样的公益捐款，代表了大家对学校教职工的信任和希望，让我们对学校的公益事业更加有信心和动力。

Dear Chinese School Families,

The first day of Chinese School went quickly. It was good to see many of you after the holidays and hope you felt the same way. A few things I’d like to share with you about school. The classrooms generally are kept in good shape and I have observed a few good practices how to minimize the disruption. One of the classrooms had its room layout captured on the white board so the third class users can put the tables and chairs back in place. We all appreciate your effort in keeping the rooms tidy and neat. Another thing I want to remind you is that smoking is prohibited within the school premise, including the parking lot. Please make sure you respect and follow the rules. If found smoking on-site (even outdoor), you will receive a ticket and fine.

This coming Sunday we will hold first council meeting this semester around 3PM in room C206. The primary agenda is to report school operation and budget execution to the council. But if you have any questions or concerns, please write to me or stop by before the council meeting.

Lastly, I want to express our sincere appreciation to Dr. Karen Tan and her family for their continuous support and generous donation of $1000 to Chinese School. Their generosity is an encouragement to all of us to remain committed for a better Chinese School and will help us achieve the mission of continuing the tradition of excellence in Chinese language education.
