Dequan (Anny) Yin has been playing the piano since the age of six and teaching piano privately since 1998. She holds Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Music Education from China. She taught at Shanghai University and TomLee Music before she moved to the U.S. in 2010. She has instilled her students with love and appreciation for music. She was awarded Excellent Teacher in 2008 by ABRSM (Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music).

She is now a graduate student at the College of Saint Rose and studying piano with Dr. Young Kim. As a member of MTNA (Music Teachers National Association), she is also actively participating in music activities in the area. She serves the Chinese Community Center Chorus as the piano accompanist and music instructor. She has also performed solos, duets and accompaniments on the stages of the Egg, RPI and Proctors.
