Chess-Level 2 国际象棋 Level 2

All non-beginner chess players are welcome to the Chess 2 class, no matter your age and skill level. This more advanced class will *start* with tactics and progress up through opening and endgame theory.

Teaching methods in Chess 2:

  • Tailored to the individual student. One student liked to design new types of pieces (i.e. “chess variants”). Some students prefer to just play chess against each other. Some students want to play against the teacher. Some students like to play the computer.

  • Self-guided (by the student) wherever possible

  • Using computers for checking on positions and moves.

  • Handling differing skill levels. Example: more advanced students teaching other students.
