纽约首府中文学校中文课程及教师介绍

华裔子女们生长在中文的家庭语言环境里，或多或少具备了一些中文的听说能力，如果此时孩子能接受较为正规和系统的中文教育，会有事半功倍的收效。

🏫首府中文学校开办小班实体汉语课程，教师根据少年儿童的心理特点和他们的需求与爱好，力求教学内容的科学性、趣味性和实用性。学校寓教于乐，举办相关讲故事，圣诞及中华传统节日庆祝活动等等。使孩子们能真切地感受到汉语和中华文化的魅力，从此而激发起他们学习汉语的兴趣，发掘孩子的学习潜力。同时中文学校也是一个平台让华裔的孩子们在社区中感到一种归属感。

📋教学内容(Course Objective)：
The Hip-Hop class offers a beginners dance routine for ages 8 and up. We will be learning an easy hip-hop dance this year, and it's good for all levels of dance from beginners to advanced dancers. It is a fun and relaxed class, targeting those who love performing on a stage and loves to dance.
自信、阳光、开朗，热爱生活是这堂课想传达给学生们的理念。

👩‍🏫Teacher 老师: Chryceis Hollars
Chryceis started dancing when she was 5 years old. She has experiences in many types of dances such as ballet, hip-hop, jazz, tap, k-pop, and contemporary dance. In particular, She began competitively dancing in hip-hop and contemporary genres last year. Additionally, She was a tutor with Youstrong Youth Reading Club and the Asian American Youth Association.
She believes that dance is a very good way to express yourself, it's also a sport that allows the dancer to let loose and forget that day's conflicts or troubles. She cannot wait to share this wonderful experience with her students, and hopefully ignite their passion for dance too.

生活节奏那么快，你会不会想，偶尔享受一下慢生活呢？

毛衣编织，起源于游牧民族，在中亚游牧民族地区，纺织品的原材料是毛，以羊毛为主。
每到春暖花开的季节，各种动物就开始脱毛，脱去冬季的短绒，换上适应炎热夏天的长毛。牧羊人们收集了脱落的羊毛，洗净晾干，放牧的时候，牧羊人坐在石头上，边看着羊们吃草边将羊毛错成细条，这些细条可以用来织毛毯打毛毡，再纺细之后可以织呢子。某一天，北风渐紧，天快冷了，某一个牧羊人，也许是一个奴隶，没有毡做的衣服可以御寒，他找了几根树枝，想方设法将手里的毛线结成一个片片，一个可以裹在身上御寒的东西，绕来绕去，他终于找到了诀窍，于是，便有了后来的毛衣。

记得小时候，妈妈们都会为家人孩子编织“温暖牌”毛衣。经过这些年的工业的发展，手工编织已经慢慢淡出主流。人们不再花上大量时间去打毛衣，只需去店里就可以买到各色各样的成品。可是当你穿过亲手钩织的毛衣后，你会发现，它带来的不止是温暖，还是人与人之间的关怀与呵护。

经过这两年的疫情，越来越多人发现享受生活的重要，也更愿意花时间在手工艺上。编织不止再是千变一律的款式，大量的设计师开始为手工编织者设计更适合现代审美，通俗易懂又容易上手的款式。

在这里，我们可以坐下来，静下心，慢慢享受一针一线钩织出一件成品的喜悦。就像一个画家，一点一滴的把画纸填满完成一幅赏心悦目的佳作，我们也会看着一团团毛线在自己手里变成一顶帽子，一条围巾，一件衣服，满足了自己的成就感，也为我们心爱的家人过冬保暖。

每个月俱乐部会推荐两到三款当下流行的织物，大家可以一起编织，一起交流。

【 Kids Dance 少儿舞蹈 】

教学内容(Course Objective)：
主要教学生们一些基础的中国民间民族的舞蹈，韵律以及学习一些中国五十六个民族不一样的风 格曲目。每个民族都有每一个民族不一样的舞蹈风格，学生们可以通过这节课不光去了解中国民 间舞蹈，而是了解更多中国千年舞蹈的历史通过学习民族舞蹈。这节课可以慢慢培养学生的表演欲望和自信，学习如何通过用肢体语言和面部表情眼神去表达自己在一段舞蹈中的情绪。同样也 希望通过这节课去培养孩子对舞蹈的兴趣。

教师 (Teacher)-Manyi Li 李曼怡
李曼怡，来自北京。六岁开始跳民族舞，到现在已经有十二年的时间了。之前一直在北京的舞蹈培训机构上课，并参加中国民间民族舞每一年在北京舞蹈学院的考级。曾任舞蹈培训班的助教及代课老师。李老师耐心，特别喜欢和小朋友们一起跳舞，和孩子们一 起探讨问题。在教学过程中，侧重于学习的过程，其次是结果。希望学生们因为这节课去真正爱上舞蹈!

Capital Region Chinese School offers 3 Levels Chinese as Second Language (CSL) Classes! 👇

For anyone who does not speak Chinese regularly at home, we offer 3 levels of CSL classes. This is recommended for Chinese-American parents and/or American parents whose children or non-native speakers would like to learn Chinese. CSL emphasizes conversation in the beginning, gradually adding reading and writing over time. Please see attached for detailed information📎。

📚Course Objectives：

As cyber threats and attacks continue to increase, the demand for professionals to protect data and other digital assets for organizations continues to grow. The demand for cybersecurity professionals is actually growing faster than the number of qualified individuals to fulfill that demand. Therefore, employment in cyber security is projected to grow 33 percent from 2020 to 2030.
This is a hands-on course that focuses on tactics, techniques, and procedures used to identify and protect networks and applications from unauthorized access and data exposure. The course starts with an overview of the Linux and Kali environment and gradually progresses to scripting, vulnerability scanning, and password cracking.

He conducts and directs information security risk assessment efforts as well as provides risk assessment expertise on complex systems to ensure that acquired or developed systems and architectures are consistent with the organization’s information assurance (IA) architecture guidelines.

【 Codifying Language: Preparation for NACLO 】

📚Course Objectives:

This class is for 6th-12th graders to prepare North American Computational Linguistics Open Competition.
The competition is in the winter and middle/high schoolers are qualified to register, students are recommended to participate in the competition. More information on NACLO: https://nacloweb.org/about.php#

课程教学生们语言的结构，语言的历史，怎么去分析不同的语言，等等。比如说：Syntax （the arrangement of words and phrases to create well-formed sentences in a language．） What's the subject, indirect object, direct object, or preposition of a sentence? Why do we need them, and how do we use them? 除了syntax， 还有tenses, pragmatics, semantics, linguistical morphology, etc.． 这门课程不仅对学生们以后学英语和另一些语言的时候有帮助，还会在将来考SAT或者PSAT的时候有很大的作用．
